Inverlin Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-14
These terms are a contract between you and Guillaume Meliot, a sole trader established in Sweden (“we”, “us”), for your use of the Inverlin app (“the service”). By creating an account you agree to them.
Our privacy policy explains how personal data is handled and forms part of the picture; where these terms and the privacy policy touch the same subject, the privacy policy governs data protection matters.
1. The service
Inverlin is a household organisation app: recipes, meal planning, shopping lists, a pantry, and a shared calendar, built for people running a shared home. Members of a household see and edit the household’s shared content together.
We aim to keep the service reliable and improving, but it is under active development: features may change, be added, or be withdrawn. If we ever discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to obtain your data first.
2. Your account
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person. Dependants recorded in a household (people and pets the household plans for) are not account holders and must not be given login access.
- You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. Inverlin is for adults running a household. Dependants appear in the app only as records created and managed by an adult account holder, with no login of their own.
3. Household content and who owns it
- Your content stays yours. You retain all rights to the recipes, plans, lists, events, and other content you add. You grant us only the licence we need to host, store, display, and transmit that content to you and your household in order to operate the service, and nothing more. We do not use your content for anything else.
- Household content is shared. Content added to a household belongs to that household’s members collectively. Every member can see it, and generally edit it, subject to the app’s rules (for example, calendar events narrowed to specific attendees are visible only to them). Add to a household only what you are content for its members to see.
- Leaving a household. Content added to a shared household stays with that household when you leave. When leaving, you can choose to take a copy of the recipes you created into your new household; the originals remain behind, so nobody loses the cookbook. Nothing is moved or taken away from the household you leave.
- Other people’s information. If you add information about someone else (for example a dependant’s dietary notes), you are responsible for being entitled to share it, and for keeping it accurate.
4. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and as a household organisation tool. Do not:
- attempt to access other households’ data or probe, overload, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure;
- reverse engineer or copy the service, except where the law expressly permits it;
- use the service to store or share unlawful content, or to harass anyone;
- resell or commercially exploit the service without our written agreement.
5. Subscriptions and payment
The current version of Inverlin has no paid features. There is nothing to buy in the app, no subscription, and no charge of any kind.
If paid tiers are introduced in future, these terms will be updated before any charge is possible, and the price, billing period, and how to cancel will be shown clearly before you pay anything. Any purchase would be made through the app store you installed from, under its payment terms.
6. Service provided without warranty
The service is currently provided free of charge. It is provided with reasonable skill and care, but beyond that it comes without warranties: we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, and you use it as it stands.
A specific and important caution: dietary and allergy flags in Inverlin are an organisational aid, not a safety system. They depend entirely on what household members have typed in, and recipes may be incomplete or wrongly entered. Always check actual ingredients yourself where an allergy or medical diet is involved. Do not rely on the app for decisions that could affect anyone’s health.
Your statutory rights are not affected. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory rights or remedies you have under applicable consumer law, including Swedish law and applicable protections in the country where you live.
7. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to that, and reflecting that the service is currently free: we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these terms, for losses arising from business use (the service is for domestic and household use), or for loss or corruption of data caused by events outside our reasonable control. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, which for the current free service is nil, or such greater amount as the law requires.
8. Ending the agreement
- By you: stop using the service at any time, or delete your account in the app (Settings, then Account, then Delete account). Deletion takes effect after a 30-day grace period during which you can change your mind; the details, including what happens to household content, are in the privacy policy.
- By us: we may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms. Except where the breach makes it unreasonable (for example, abuse of the service or of other users), we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right, and you will be able to request your data as described in the privacy policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that is acceptance of the new terms. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply in the country where you habitually live. Nothing in these terms restricts your right to bring a claim in a court available to you under applicable consumer jurisdiction rules.
